Technology is one subject that young people are
supposed to learn faster than older people. Also, technology is considered a
very important tool to our world in this century. A lot of things depend on
technology to work, and if we don´t have people with abilities to use
technology, our world will be harder. There´s no way to assure every people in
the world will have digital skills, but for young people even having a
smartphone will help to integrate them with digital devices. Computers are also an excellent tool for
learning, and if a person has access to one, he or she will have the
opportunity to explore its software, programs, and learn how to work with them.
Not every person has access to a computer, and this can probably exclude those
people of society. It means more difficult finding a job or just jobs with low
salaries which more hand work are used. To be digitally literate people don’t just
need to study, but it is very important having easily access to those tools
like cell phones, laptops, internet or tablets. I say that because those
devices are constantly changing or updating. If you stop using technology
today, you probably won´t know how to use in the future.
I find your title intriguing. I like the idea of regularly updating your technological skill set. It would be nice if there was a quarterly memo sent to everyone about what new digital skills they should consider adopting or changing.
