I recommend try to normally use as a leisure activity, computers , tablets, cellphones and anothers. Then, search other interesting tool that are useful to you as a student. So with that, it will become more natural and easy to use software. However, it is basic to learn how Microsoft Office works. It will be useful if you learn about the Adobe package, some apps that are created to simplify our lifestyle and stay updated about the newest softwares.
I highly recommend to try and figure out some sutff in computer by yourself to be more naturely and discover hotkeys, settings and sometimes, help in computer. Just after that you should go to classes about Office or other programs package. If it is possible to take classes about web design and some basic programing functions as HTML or PHP.
Separating this in levels of digital literacy, becoming accostumed to use computer and figuring out how it works would be the first one. The second would be learning office package. Then, the third, advanced programs as the Adobe Package that are useful who has learned about them, and the fourth, the highly advanced as program functions that are optional because of their narrow use in high school homeworks, they are really rare to use in high school.
These sound like reasonable recommendations for becoming digitally literate. I agree that it's possible to teach yourself how to use computer software. I am quite proficient with Microsoft Office, but I should become more familiar with Adobe programs. Maybe I will take a class.
